The dress hit a few inches above Grande’s knees, as minidresses are her preferred silhouette. It’s whimsical, but still elegant thanks to the pale pink and white color palette and slimmer-fitting style; this isn’t a Glinda ballgown, but rather a springy cocktail dress.
Because the dress was so elaborate, Grande styled it with simple white pumps and delicate drop earrings. Her golden blonde Glinda hair was pulled back into a loose knot, and she wore pink lip gloss with glimmering sparkles dotted around her eyes for a touch of magic. She and Erivo started the themed dressing at the Super Bowl in pink and green jerseys, then continued it at the Oscars, with Grande in a billowing pastel pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture and Erivo in custom emerald green Louis Vuitton.
