Park City Song Summit is back for a third year. On Tuesday, the Utah-based festival announced its lineup for this August featuring Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, My Morning Jacket, and Mavis Staples as headliners for the three-day event set for Aug. 15 through Aug. 17 at the Canyons Village Amphitheater.
The event is also set to feature performances by artists such as Anders Osborne & Jackie Greene, Larkin Poe, Eric Krasno & Friends, Cimafunk, Ivan Neville, Steve Poltz, and Nikki Glaspie. (The festival will serve as a preview to Rateliff and My Morning Jacket’s joint Eye to Eye tour, which is scheduled for the following month.)
“Year three is going to be electric and we are already feeling the vibes as we prepare for the next iteration of this one-of-a-kind music event,” said Park City Song Summit founder Ben Anderson in a press release. “As a lifelong musician and music fan, I love those holy moments when an artist locks in with an audience and they coexist on the same wavelength.”
Tickets for the festival are on sale now with passes for all weekend starting at $364 and single-day entry at $165. Fans with interest in VIP entry can access the 3-day premier pass for $625 and $250 for a single day pass.
In its third year, the Utah festival has prioritized its artists’ (and patrons’) mental health and physical well-being, featuring in-depth chats and “labs” for artists to speak about their well-being with the audience.
Among the Summit Labs are talks such as “Beats & Bytes: Navigating Creativity in the Age of AI” and “Brass Without Boundaries: Abolishing Gender Norms in Brass” featuring Natalie Cressmna, Jennifer Hartswick, and Hilary Saunders.
“These people have lives and they have their own mental health struggles,” the fest’s founder told Rolling Stone last year. “Substance struggles, trauma struggles, struggles with social justice, struggles being a female in a particular genre, troubles from being in the LGBTQIA+ community — I’ve decided to plant a flag on a different hill and focus on artist wellness.”
