Watch Beyoncé Share Her Wash Day Routine and Address Hair Stigmas in New Video

Beyoncé just shared her wash day and styling routines on Instagram, along with some much-needed wisdom. On April 22, 2024, the Cécred founder took over the brand’s Instagram account with a Reel showing how she takes care of her freshly dyed hair, sharing some useful tips and challenging stigmas along the way. Let’s get into the details!

To start, Beyoncé’s stylist gave her hair a quick rinse and lather. She shared that they applied a coat of Cécred’s Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual since she had freshly-done color. Next, she showed a clip of herself doing a round of the deep conditioner as she expressed her love for the product in the video’s voice-over. While still wet, she applied a bit of Moisture Sealing Lotion to her hair in preparation for straightening.

While that settled, she took the time to address an issue. “The stigma and misconception is that people who wear wigs don’t have long and healthy hair. That’s some bullsh*t because it ain’t nobody’s business,” she said in the video before promptly getting back to her own hair care routine.

After washing, she was off to styling. She blow dried her hair on the medium setting to avoid excessive heat. For the last prep step, she opted to go over her hair with a pressing comb. As a final touch, she used the flat iron to straighten her hair.

In the next few shots, we saw her team put her hair in rollers while she got her makeup done. The final reveal was bouncy curly hair. Bey made sure to show the camera a few hair flips so we could see the final result from every angle.

While she narrated, Beyoncé also talked a bit about her personal hair journey. She shared that she has personally opted for color over perms or relaxers, but her hair has never been as long and moisturized while maintaining her natural texture as when she started to use Cécred. Now that she’s shared her step-by-step routine and the results, you can try it out for yourself at home.
