Kendall Jenner On Her “Angelic” Corseted Vivienne Westwood Look For The Met Gala 2024 After-Party

Kendall Jenner’s Met Gala after-party looks are often just as memorable as her main red-carpet get-up. Take the see-through sequined bodysuit by Nensi Dojaka, inspired by a Chanel spring/summer 1994 look, that she wore to dance the night away last year, or the sheer lace crop top and midi-skirt by Miu Miu that she sported the previous year.

This time around, the model opted for a more covered-up look (at least in comparison to previous years) by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, comprising a custom gold corset and a delicate white lace overlay with ethereal bell sleeves, along with a matching miniskirt. “I have always admired the house of Vivienne Westwood and the looks that are strong, but also feminine and sexy,” Jenner tells Vogue. “When Andreas presented me this sketch, I fell in love immediately, and it fit perfectly.”

Jenner also wanted to ensure that her after-party look both complemented and offset her red-carpet gown – an archival Givenchy by Alexander McQueen 1999 gown – from earlier in the night. “I really wanted to continue a story of a Renaissance-inspired dress, and the dreamy sleeves, lace and beading felt not only Met special, but angelic and a contrast to my carpet look,” she explains.
