Sunny Hostin’s 21-year-old son has caught the attention of the legal expert’s cohosts on The View — both current and former.
The panel’s attention turned to Hostin’s first-born child, Gabriel, amid a wider discussion about Anne Hathaway’s new rom-com The Idea of You, as well as age gaps among Hollywood’s on-screen couples.
“I was watching you on the Sherri Shepherd show and she was like, out of her mind over your son. What the heck was that about? Alright, the kid’s hot, but really?” Joy Behar, 81, quipped to Hostin.

The show then splashed a large image of Hostin on Sherri on the screen behind the cohosts, showing Shepherd — who co-hosted The View from 2007-2014 — reacting to a semi-shirtless photo of Gabriel on the beach.
“What kind of pictures did you pick, Sunny? That’s your son,” Sara Haines, 46, joked.
“I didn’t even pick those, those were pictures of his 21st birthday when we went to Spain,” the 55-year-old replied, before lowering her head into her hand and laughing. “I’m used to that with him, but, yeah.”

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg, 68, got in one final question before throwing the show to commercial: “So, you’re okay if Sherri calls him?” she asked, to which Hostin responded by shaking her head side to side as the audience chuckled.
On The View, Hostin has long expressed her admiration for Gabriel and daughter Paloma, whom she shares with her husband, Manny.
In September, Hostin revealed some scary news regarding Gabriel, telling producer Brian Teta on the Behind the Table podcast that the college student was struck by a car near his Harvard University campus in Cambridge, Mass.
